The Associations between Calving Interval and Milk Production traits in population of dairy cows of Slovak Simmental cattle.
Abstract
The aim this work was to associations between calving interval and milk production traits in population of dairy cows of Slovak Simmental cattle in the period 2003-2009. The basic statistic analysis were analysed using the SAS version 9.1.3. The average length between calving intervals was 413.34 days in population of dairy cows of Slovak Simmental cattle. Correlation between evaluated calving interval and traits of milk production (milk, fat, proteins) were lower negative r=-0.00924, r=-0.00539, r=-0.02381and correlation between calving interval and proteins in kg statistically high significant (P<.0001). The analyses by the effect on calving interval was the highest effect of herd-years-season R2= 0.212786, others effects of father R2= 0.028230 and cods of milk groups R2= 0.001353.
